Mini Trees Arlington Concert reviews
Disturbed was absurd
Mini Trees put on a decent show both times I have seen them before this event, and well actually the first time back in 2000 was an amazing show. But the headlining band this time had an issue...the band was tight and not sloppy at all, the music was good, but David Draiman the vocalist could not sing to save his life. His scream vocals were a-ok, but the actual singing was all over the place, he was hitting bad notes, his voice was cracking, and he didn't act like he cared that he was sucking it up.
Despite my regular mocking and hatred towards Avenged Sevenfold, they were actually the best band there!!! Their stage show live was one of the best I've ever seen, and even the music and vocals were pretty great live, enough to enjoy. I just can't get into their studio stuff.
Halestorm, a band that seems pretty good and like they care to try hard and put on a good show. I can't say I see huge things for them in the future but I think they'll do fairly well.
HellYeah. After a ridiculous ticket and parking fiasco which delayed me 30 minutes because the event coordinators couldn't make parking make any sense and the ticket pickup any sense (I had to walk all the way around the venue because they were too incompetent to put a Will Call booth at all entrances) I caught the last 2 full songs of HellYeah and from what I did see (and heard as I walked around) they were the best performing band there in terms of music and vocals. I've seen them once before and they were amazing. HellYeah was on the side Jagermeister stage and Mini Trees should've been on that small stage and given HellYeah the reins for the headliner because Mini Trees....was absurd.
